Famous when used to describe people or places is usually berühmt, so the famous pyramids of Giza can be rendered as die berühmten Pyramiden von Gizeh.
Stars and Stripes
Der Name der US-Flagge bezieht sich auf die 50 Sterne (einer für jeden Bundesstaat) auf dunkelblauem Grund in ihrer linken oberen Ecke und die roten und weißen Streifen. Amerikaner sind sehr stolz auf ihre Flagge und man sieht sehr viele in Vorgärten oder sogar an Autos flattern.
