Parador nacional |
There are now over 80 of these luxury hotels which are administered by the Spanish government. Paradores are found throughout Spain, both in cities and in the countryside, and their restaurants have a good reputation for serving regional cuisine. Many are in buildings of historical importance, such as castles, mansions and former monasteries, but there are also purpose-built Paradores, designed to reflect traditional architectural styles. They are considered to be flagships of the government's policy on tourism. |
