| In Germany, licence plates feature two series of letters and one number: the first series of letters which consists of a maximum of three letters shows the place in which the vehicle was registered (for example: B for Berlin, M for Munich, HH for Hansestadt Hamburg) while the second series, consisting of a maximum of two letters, and the number indicate the administrative registration code of the vehicle. |
